Brother Michael's Devotional

Hebrews 3;1 Wherefore, holy brethern, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus:

There is so much in the way of stress in the age we live in. There are the demands of work, family and church pulling us in a dozen different directions. We are also submereged in great billows of loneliness and isolation in the age of mass communication. We have a thousand forms of technology to communicate with one another and yet few are able to connect any more. And lastly, we are a people that can find no satisfaction. We run from one hobby to another or live a life of endless acquireing of things to be left in the end empty and not satisfied.
Are you under stress? Consider Jesus. He knows what a life of pressure and strain is. He was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4;15b.) Go talk to him about your problem, He wants to hear about them.
Are you lonely? Consider Jesus. He knew what it was like to be forsaken by His closest friends and have his own Father turn his back on him. He will have compassion on you. He is ready to comfort you and carry you when you are weak.
Lastly, are you not satisfied? Consider Jesus. He has water that will satisfy and lead to a well springing up into everlasting life. I doubt seriously He will give you all the answers but you will be satisfied with what He does give you.
Have you considered Jesus today? He wants you to talk to him about your problems and He is there to help.
Won't you go to Him now.
